Our Story

The Eight Principles

  1. The inherent worth and dignity of every person;
  2. Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;
  3. Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations;
  4. A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;
  5. The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large;
  6. The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all;
  7. Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part
  8. And our Eighth Principle… We affirm and promote the following 8th Principle:Journeying toward spiritual wholeness by building a diverse, multicultural Beloved Community that by our actions accountable dismantle racism and other oppression’s in ourselves and our institutions.

Our denomination has no creed or doctrinal tests. All who are in sympathy with our beliefs and are willing to join us in supporting the goals of this church and the principles of the Unitarian Universalist Association are welcomed into membership.

Our building is now accessible to people with disabilities!
It features a ramp to the main sanctuary and a wheelchair lift to the Social Hall beneath. Two accessible restrooms have been created: one on the main level of the Hale Building and another on the lower level of the sanctuary to make our Fellowship Hall more accessible to our congregants, visitors and renters.
